Overview

The Innovation Strategy Sprint, developed in partnership with Atlassian, equips participants with the strategic frameworks and practical tools needed to build innovation capability across an organisation. Across four modules, participants learn to identify and scope innovation opportunities, design innovation options portfolios, structure implementation using roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks, and measure innovation outcomes over time. A distinctive feature of this sprint is its emphasis on process innovation and the organisational infrastructure that makes innovation repeatable – addressing a persistent gap in how leaders are taught to think about and execute innovation strategy.

What you'll learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the key features, types, and strategic dimensions of innovation.
  • Apply appropriate frameworks to identify and scope innovation opportunities within an organisational context.
  • Design a structured innovation implementation plan — including roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks aligned with organisational goals.
  • Propose innovation measurement systems to track progress over time.

Sydney Executive Plus

Delivered by Sydney Executive Plus Innovation Strategy Sprint will help you to get clear on what innovation is, create the conditions to sustain it, and track its progress over time.

Aims

The sprint introduces innovation strategy, how it differs from innovation theatre, the frameworks for scoping innovation opportunities across an organisation's products, processes, networks, and business models, and key considerations in designing and implementing an innovation strategy in an organisation. Over four modules, you will learn from University of Sydney researchers and Atlassian practitioners, share and network with other professionals, and complete a final strategy project related to your own organisation.
