Greg Woods KC
Dr Greg Woods KC joined the NSW Bar in 1972 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 1981. He has appeared as counsel in notable criminal cases such as the prosecutions following the ‘Milperra massacre’ of 1984, Kable v Director of Public Prosecutions (NSW) (1996) 189 CLR 51, and in the recent acquittals of Mrs Kathleen Folbigg. He has taught criminal law at universities, been an adviser on law reforms to a number of Attorneys-General and was a trial judge of the NSW District Court from 1997 until 2017. He is the author of several volumes on the history of criminal law in NSW. He practices at Trust Chambers, Sydney, mainly advising on criminal appeals and post-conviction inquiries.
