Dr Judy Cashmore AO is Professor Emerita (Socio-Legal Research and Policy). Her research is interdisciplinary and translational, building bridges between research and its application to improve the experience and outcomes for children and young people involved in criminal and civil legal decision-making processes that affect their lives. Dr Cashmore is internationally recognised as a leading scholar in her field, and her research has been cited in judicial judgments, inquiries, and parliamentary reforms. She has worked as a consultant to various state and federal government agencies including the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. She has been involved in numerous state and federal government committees concerning children and families.
