Elizabeth Elliott

Elizabeth Elliott is a Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Sydney, Consultant Paediatrician at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, Westmead, and an National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Senior Leadership Fellow. Her focus is on the dissemination and translation of knowledge into policy and practice, particularly relating to FASD and alcohol use in pregnancy. She developed the first Australian Guide to FASD Diagnosis, leads the FASD Australia Hub and FASD Register, contributed to the NHMRC and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on alcohol use in pregnancy, played a key role in the National FASD Action Plan, and is Director of an NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence. She chairs the Australian Government’s National FASD Advisory Group.
